I wish I would have found Mr. Cofer sooner!!! Having never dealt with the criminal/juvenile system, I had no idea was I was dealing with. I thought hiring the only attorney that was certified in juvenile law in Bell County would be the best attorney to help my son. Unfortunately, it was the worst mistake I’ve probably ever made. When my son had to go back to court our previous experience made me super hesitant to retain another attorney. It took less than 2 weeks to know I couldn’t have found a better attorney. Between Heather having previous experience as a juvenile corrections officer & Mr. Cofer’s knowledge, they are truly a dream team! They went to the detention facility to see my son within days of retaining them, always kept me updated on what was going on & I was able to reach Heather or Rick every time I called. Heather even called regularly to check on my son & encourage him! Most importantly, Rick got my son out of detention almost immediately (they were dead set on holding him in detention) & ended up getting everything dropped, without my son or I even having to go to court! Do not let previous experiences or cost make you hesitant to retain Mr. Cofer. I can assure you that not all attorneys are equal & you likely won’t get a 2nd chance at fighting the charges.
