I work in the firm’s civil litigation department, focusing on family law.
I earned my B.A. in Political Science from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, in 2021 and my J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2024.
After my first year of law school, I interned at the Dallas County Public Defender’s Office. My first trial involved a client wrongfully accused of a crime. Overwhelmed with grief, the client told me and the attorney I was assisting, “You two are my only hope.” Those words stayed with me. I realized then that my work wasn’t just about legal proceedings—it was about restoring dignity and freedom. In the weeks leading up to the trial, I worked relentlessly and barely slept. After the not-guilty verdict, our client hugged me in tears before walking away free. That moment cemented my sense of responsibility to fight for my clients with unyielding dedication.
After my second year of law school, I transitioned to a new role as the Civil Law Clerk at Cofer & Connelly, PLLC. During this time, I discovered my true calling was in family law. In criminal law, I helped with one aspect of clients’ lives, but in family law, the stakes are even higher—they extend to entire families. The opportunity to protect my clients' rights and safeguard their relationships, home life, and children’s well-being resonated with me on a deeper level.
While attending law school, my achievements in mock trial, moot court, and negotiation competitions earned me a spot on the Board of Barristers, a student organization made up of the top advocates at my law school. Additionally, I was a Regional Champion in the ABA Client Counseling Competition, a competition designed to test competitors' ability to interview, counsel, and support clients through complex legal issues. These experiences sharpened my skills, making me a more effective advocate and helping me listen intently, understand my clients' unique circumstances, and be their guide through some of the most emotional and trying times in their lives.
I bring all of these experiences to every case I handle. Whether advocating for parental rights or navigating the complexities of divorce, I’m driven by the same motivation: to approach each matter with dedication and care, working diligently to protect my clients' futures and help them and their loved ones navigate and find resolution during life’s most challenging moments.
Outside my career, I enjoy book collecting, creative writing, tennis, golf, fishing, and late-night Sonic trips with my fiancé, Ebee.
