I've sworn an oath to use my training and experience as a lawyer to dutifully advise and counsel my clients and I have the skills, tools, and connections to advocate for you. I joined Cofer & Connelly because the firm takes on challenging cases requiring strong advocacy and strategic thinking.
I grew up in central Texas, blessed with parents who made me the criminal defense lawyer I am today. My father is a juvenile prosecutor who taught me to consider all sides of a story and learn my case better than anyone else in the room. My mother is a Child Psychiatrist, a compassionate and talented doctor with high personal standards of ethics and diligence. She taught me that the best way to serve patients or clients is by holding ourselves to the highest standards of professionalism and care.
I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in English and earned my Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas School of Law in Austin. In law school I dedicated my time to learning both sides of the criminal justice system, interning in the Travis and Harris County District Attorney's Offices, and participating in the UT Law Criminal Defense Clinic. While still in law school, I represented my first clients in criminal cases and secured my first outright dismissal for a client.
I began my career as a prosecutor with the McLennan County District Attorney's Office, and then the Williamson County Attorney's Office, swiftly rising through the ranks to become a Misdemeanor Criminal Trial Court Lead. As a prosecutor, I’ve tried over a dozen misdemeanor jury trials on charges ranging from Driving While Intoxicated to Assault Family Violence Cases. I also served as representative on the Williamson County DWI/Drug Treatment Court team, working alongside a team of diverse and brilliant professionals diverting participants out of the criminal justice system.
Now I use the skills, tools, and connections I made as a prosecutor serving clients at Cofer & Connelly. We have a skilled team ready to defend clients on any given charge. Confident that when they entrust their stories to us, we can take those stories to a courtroom at trial, and tell those stories well.
