I am an advocate. Fighting for my clients and giving them a voice is what I enjoy most as an attorney, and for those of us who are truly called to this profession, nothing is sweeter or more rewarding than upholding and protecting the rights of those in our community.
I began my career in Chicago working with the public defender's office and as a legal aid attorney, primarily cross-examining police officers at hearings and advocating for the release of juveniles from incarceration. As I gained more experience, I decided to make the move out to the Austin, Texas area, and I have never been happier since. I opened my own solo law practice for about two years where I represented clients and tried jury trials in Travis County. I also completed the Tim Evans Trial College where I was able to hone my skills with some of the best trial lawyers in the state of Texas.
I have gained experience working as a prosecutor at the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office. There, I learned how prosecutors work and gained experience on the other side, seeing how they build cases and many of the tricks that they use. I have since decided to join Cofer and Connelly, PLLC to practice alongside an elite team of defense lawyers and to further my practice. We make a dynamic team, always thinking of new and creative strategies to win cases.
In my career I have been able to obtain justice for clients who have been wrongfully accused, and I have worked to uphold the US Constitution every day in the courtroom. This is what inspires me and gives me the fire to advocate for each and every client with everything that I have. When you work with me, I will be there with you every step of the way.
